I’m sure this is going to be a completely different experience for each of us, but I found psychedelics (and cannabis) helped me to delve deeper and deeper and deeper until I found my biggest fears, my reasons for existing, and eventually beyond those into the meaninglessness of life and insignificance of our individual existences. Then all of a sudden everything is significant, because it’s self-defined. I suppose my biggest advice would be to start by thinking through what it is exactly about nature and oneness that makes you feel things? Write it down! Cultivate your own thoughts and eventually I found community by talking about them with others. Who are you and why do you exist? Eventually you will meet or find more like-minded people that will continue to challenge your beliefs. This also does not necessarily need to be with any additional assistance – meditation and mindfulness on their own is a powerful, powerful place to start. For me, connecting using these sacred medicines has expanded my ability to integrate these thoughts and “feel” them as central to my being.

How did you find the process of dosing with psychedelics in order to explore your spirituality? This is an exploration that I personally really resonate with as I lack a spiritual identity but connect strongly with indigenous beliefs around nature and oneness. I was raised in a Roman Catholic family, went through all the usual rights of age if you will, but never bought in. Now, in my late 30s, my partner says that my lack of spirituality is a significant barrier to understanding myself.
